Amanda Saab joins DFA with over a decade of experience and a deep-rooted passion for cooking. Amanda has carved a unique path at the intersection of food and activism.
Amanda was named a Cherry Bombe Magazine 100 influential Women in food (and was a contestant on MasterChef seasons 6 and 12). Inspired by her experiences and driven by a desire to foster dialogue and understanding, she founded Dinner With Your Muslim Neighbor, bringing together community shared experience of food and conversation.
Amanda holds a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Wayne State University, and integrates her academic background with her culinary expertise. Committed to effecting positive change, she recently attended the James Beard Foundation Chef Bootcamp for Advocacy and Policy.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Amanda enjoys gardening and literature, cherishing moments spent with her daughter and exploring Michigan.
Amanda believes food is more than sustenance—it's a catalyst for change, a bridge between communities, and a means of bringing deep understanding and kindness in the world.
